In Cleveland, Ohio, the market for housing has been at it’s highest peak since 2005. This comes at a time when the nations overall housing market has gone down, most likely due to the cold winter months. In a report published on Tuesday by the Ohio Association of Realtors, it was revealed that the amount of homes brought has increased over 7% since 2015. In the Northeast region of Ohio, sales have gone up over 7.5%. This makes for a staggering 151,600 homes were purchased across the state of Ohio in 2015.
Even more impressive data displays that in December when across the nation the housing market sales are on the decline, in Ohio, the market sales rose 2.8%. The price of the average real estate sold has gone up over 4% since the end of 2015.
In December, the nation had 1.5 months of usable housing available. This market is unbalanced. Per housing analysts, a healthy market is one that supplies available housing for up to six month, on an even playing field. This makes for an even playing field in the housing market.
